Gods and Goddesses

Merrow/Abyssal Lord Merrow: The more sinister of the two sea gods, representing the more negative and dangerous aspects of the ocean. Brother to Tryta. Currently as “dead” as gods ever get. Patron god of the Strega. Vaguely man-shaped and scaled, Merrow has four rubbery arms like an octopus’s tentacles, each ending in a large crab’s claw. He has a fishlike face with gill slits on the side of its neck and long, pointed teeth. His eyes are opaque white.

Tryta/The Harlot/Mother of Tides: The more benevolent of the two sea gods, representing the more life-giving properties of the ocean. Sister to Merrow. Matron goddess of sailors. Sailors who drown at sea are said to be taken to her bed.

Awilah: Principle goddess of the Mélémbwé

Molombo: Mélémbwé name for Merrow.

Spriggan Windfather: The more benevolent of the two wind gods. Brother to Aurianne.

Aurianne Stormmother: The more sinister of the two wind gods. Sister to Spriggan.
